What your bots can do in Airtable

Connect Emra with Airtable to use 24/7, always-on AI agents that work like your team.

  • 01

    Find anything in a base

Search, filter and sort records in the tables you share, and get the answer in plain words.

  • 02

    Add and update records

Turn an email, a call or a list into records, or change a field across many at once.

  • 03

    Set up bases and tables

Describe what you need to track, and a bot creates the base, its tables and fields.

  • 04

    Build interfaces and automations

Ask for a dashboard and a bot builds it. Automations arrive as drafts you turn on in Airtable.

Things to ask

  • Which records in the Leads table have no owner yet?
  • Add each attendee from this list as a record in the Events base
  • Set up a base to track vendor contracts and renewal dates

Add Airtable to a bot

It takes about a minute, and each person signs in once.

To a bot you have

  1. 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
  2. 2Choose Airtable and add it to the bot
  3. 3Sign in with your own Airtable account

To a new bot

  1. 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
  2. 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose Airtable
  3. 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own Airtable account

Then ask. The bot works in Airtable as you, with your access.

  • Your own sign-in

Each person signs in to Airtable themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.

  • Only the bots you choose

A bot can use Airtable only once it has been added to that bot.

  • Switch off any action

Turn off any Airtable action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.

Questions about Airtable and Emra

Add Airtable to an Emra bot and sign in, then ask the bot in plain words, in its chat or in Slack. It is an AI agent that works in Airtable as you, and it can run on a schedule you set.

What AI agents work with Airtable?

Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to Airtable alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.

Do Emra bots have their own computer?

Yes. Every Emra bot has its own computer and web browser in the cloud. It works in Airtable through this integration, and it can use any website your team can for the work that happens elsewhere.

Can AI agents work in Airtable around the clock?

Yes. Emra bots are always on. Give one a schedule and it does the work in Airtable at the times you set, or ask it anything, at any hour.

How do I connect Airtable to Emra?

Open a bot’s settings, click + under Apps and choose Airtable. Add it to the bot, then sign in with your Airtable account. It takes about a minute.

Whose Airtable account does a bot use?

The account of whoever is talking to it. Each teammate signs in with their own, and a bot never uses one person’s sign-in for someone else.

Can I limit what a bot does in Airtable?

Yes. Any Airtable action can be switched off for your own sign-in, and Airtable can be removed from a bot at any time.

Is there anything to install?

No. Your bots reach Airtable from Emra’s cloud, so you only sign in.
