Emra + DigitalOcean
Your bots manage your DigitalOcean Droplets, apps, databases, Kubernetes clusters, networking and storage.
What your bots can do in DigitalOcean
Connect Emra with DigitalOcean to use 24/7, always-on AI agents that work like your team.
- 01
Run your Droplets
Create, resize, snapshot and power Droplets on or off, and check how they are doing.
- 02
Deploy apps
Create App Platform apps from a spec or a GitHub repo, and manage deployments and settings.
- 03
Manage databases
Provision managed Postgres, MySQL and other clusters, and handle their users and backups.
- 04
Look after networking
Manage domains, DNS records, firewalls, load balancers and VPCs.
Things to ask
- Resize the staging Droplet to 4 GB and snapshot it first
- Add a firewall rule that allows only our office IP on port 22
- When did our production Postgres cluster last back up?
Add DigitalOcean to a bot
It takes about a minute, and each person signs in once.
To a bot you have
- 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
- 2Choose DigitalOcean and add it to the bot
- 3Sign in with your own DigitalOcean account
To a new bot
- 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
- 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose DigitalOcean
- 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own DigitalOcean account
Then ask. The bot works in DigitalOcean as you, with your access.
Your own sign-in
Each person signs in to DigitalOcean themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.
Only the bots you choose
A bot can use DigitalOcean only once it has been added to that bot.
Switch off any action
Turn off any DigitalOcean action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.
Questions about DigitalOcean and Emra
How do I use AI agents with DigitalOcean?
Add DigitalOcean to an Emra bot and sign in, then ask the bot in plain words, in its chat or in Slack. It is an AI agent that works in DigitalOcean as you, and it can run on a schedule you set.
What AI agents work with DigitalOcean?
Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to DigitalOcean alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.
Do Emra bots have their own computer?
Yes. Every Emra bot has its own computer and web browser in the cloud. It works in DigitalOcean through this integration, and it can use any website your team can for the work that happens elsewhere.
Can AI agents work in DigitalOcean around the clock?
Yes. Emra bots are always on. Give one a schedule and it does the work in DigitalOcean at the times you set, or ask it anything, at any hour.
How do I connect DigitalOcean to Emra?
Open a bot’s settings, click + under Apps and choose DigitalOcean. Add it to the bot, then sign in with your DigitalOcean account. It takes about a minute.
Whose DigitalOcean account does a bot use?
The account of whoever is talking to it. Each teammate signs in with their own, and a bot never uses one person’s sign-in for someone else.
Can I limit what a bot does in DigitalOcean?
Yes. Any DigitalOcean action can be switched off for your own sign-in, and DigitalOcean can be removed from a bot at any time.
Is there anything to install?
No. Your bots reach DigitalOcean from Emra’s cloud, so you only sign in.
