Add Google Docs to a bot

It takes about a minute, and each person signs in once.

To a bot you have

  1. 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
  2. 2Choose Google Docs and add it to the bot
  3. 3Sign in with your own Google Docs account

To a new bot

  1. 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
  2. 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose Google Docs
  3. 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own Google Docs account

Then ask. The bot works in Google Docs as you, with your access.

  • Your own sign-in

Each person signs in to Google Docs themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.

  • Only the bots you choose

A bot can use Google Docs only once it has been added to that bot.

  • Switch off any action

Turn off any Google Docs action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.

Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to Google Docs alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.
