Emra + Google Drive
Your bots make, organize and share files in your Google Drive, working only with the files they made.
What your bots can do in Google Drive
Connect Emra with Google Drive to use 24/7, always-on AI agents that work like your team.
- 01
Make files and folders
Upload files into folders, turning them into Google Docs, Sheets or Slides when you want.
- 02
Read what they made
Read a Doc, Sheet, PDF, Word or PowerPoint file as text, or export one as a PDF or CSV.
- 03
Share with the right people
Share a file with a person, a group, your domain or anyone with the link, and change who can edit.
- 04
Keep things tidy
Rename, copy, move and trash files, and leave, answer or resolve comments on them.
Things to ask
- Save this CSV to a Q3 Reports folder as a Google Sheet
- Share the onboarding deck you made with the sales team
- Are there open comments on the pricing doc you made?
Add Google Drive to a bot
It takes about a minute, and each person signs in once.
To a bot you have
- 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
- 2Choose Google Drive and add it to the bot
- 3Sign in with your own Google Drive account
To a new bot
- 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
- 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose Google Drive
- 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own Google Drive account
Then ask. The bot works in Google Drive as you, with your access.
Your own sign-in
Each person signs in to Google Drive themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.
Only the bots you choose
A bot can use Google Drive only once it has been added to that bot.
Switch off any action
Turn off any Google Drive action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.
Questions about Google Drive and Emra
How do I use AI agents with Google Drive?
Add Google Drive to an Emra bot and sign in, then ask the bot in plain words, in its chat or in Slack. It is an AI agent that works in Google Drive as you, and it can run on a schedule you set.
What AI agents work with Google Drive?
Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to Google Drive alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.
Do Emra bots have their own computer?
Yes. Every Emra bot has its own computer and web browser in the cloud. It works in Google Drive through this integration, and it can use any website your team can for the work that happens elsewhere.
Can AI agents work in Google Drive around the clock?
Yes. Emra bots are always on. Give one a schedule and it does the work in Google Drive at the times you set, or ask it anything, at any hour.
How do I connect Google Drive to Emra?
Open a bot’s settings, click + under Apps and choose Google Drive. Add it to the bot, then sign in with your Google Drive account. It takes about a minute.
Whose Google Drive account does a bot use?
The account of whoever is talking to it. Each teammate signs in with their own, and a bot never uses one person’s sign-in for someone else.
Can I limit what a bot does in Google Drive?
Yes. Any Google Drive action can be switched off for your own sign-in, and Google Drive can be removed from a bot at any time.
Is there anything to install?
No. Your bots reach Google Drive from Emra’s cloud, so you only sign in.
