  1. 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
  2. 2Choose Otter.ai and add it to the bot
  3. 3Sign in with your own Otter.ai account

To a new bot

  1. 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
  2. 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose Otter.ai
  3. 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own Otter.ai account

Then ask. The bot works in Otter.ai as you, with your access.

  • Your own sign-in

Each person signs in to Otter.ai themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.

  • Only the bots you choose

A bot can use Otter.ai only once it has been added to that bot.

  • Switch off any action

Turn off any Otter.ai action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.

Questions about Otter.ai and Emra

How do I use AI agents with Otter.ai?

Add Otter.ai to an Emra bot and sign in, then ask the bot in plain words, in its chat or in Slack. It is an AI agent that works in Otter.ai as you, and it can run on a schedule you set.

What AI agents work with Otter.ai?

Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to Otter.ai alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.

Do Emra bots have their own computer?

Yes. Every Emra bot has its own computer and web browser in the cloud. It works in Otter.ai through this integration, and it can use any website your team can for the work that happens elsewhere.

Can AI agents work in Otter.ai around the clock?

Yes. Emra bots are always on. Give one a schedule and it does the work in Otter.ai at the times you set, or ask it anything, at any hour.

How do I connect Otter.ai to Emra?

Open a bot’s settings, click + under Apps and choose Otter.ai. Add it to the bot, then sign in with your Otter.ai account. It takes about a minute.

Whose Otter.ai account does a bot use?

The account of whoever is talking to it. Each teammate signs in with their own, and a bot never uses one person’s sign-in for someone else.

Can I limit what a bot does in Otter.ai?

Yes. Any Otter.ai action can be switched off for your own sign-in, and Otter.ai can be removed from a bot at any time.

Is there anything to install?

No. Your bots reach Otter.ai from Emra’s cloud, so you only sign in.
