Things to ask
- Add Northwind to the Vendor Contracts list with a June renewal
- Draft a page on the HR site about the new travel policy

Add SharePoint to a bot
It takes about a minute, and each person signs in once.
To a bot you have
- 1Open the bot’s settings and click + under Apps
- 2Choose SharePoint and add it to the bot
- 3Sign in with your own SharePoint account
To a new bot
- 1Click New bot, name it and say what it’s for
- 2Click Connect apps beside its name and choose SharePoint
- 3Add it to the bot, then sign in with your own SharePoint account
Then ask. The bot works in SharePoint as you, with your access.
Your own sign-in
Each person signs in to SharePoint themselves. A bot uses the sign-in of whoever is talking to it, never a teammate’s.
Only the bots you choose
A bot can use SharePoint only once it has been added to that bot.
Switch off any action
Turn off any SharePoint action for your sign-in, or remove it from a bot, whenever you like.
Questions about SharePoint and Emra
How do I use AI agents with SharePoint?
Add SharePoint to an Emra bot and sign in, then ask the bot in plain words, in its chat or in Slack. It is an AI agent that works in SharePoint as you, and it can run on a schedule you set.
What AI agents work with SharePoint?
Emra bots do. Each is an always-on AI agent that works like a member of your team, and it connects to SharePoint alongside the other apps you use, so one bot can carry a task from one app to the next.
Do Emra bots have their own computer?
Yes. Every Emra bot has its own computer and web browser in the cloud. It works in SharePoint through this integration, and it can use any website your team can for the work that happens elsewhere.
Can AI agents work in SharePoint around the clock?
Yes. Emra bots are always on. Give one a schedule and it does the work in SharePoint at the times you set, or ask it anything, at any hour.
How do I connect SharePoint to Emra?
Open a bot’s settings, click + under Apps and choose SharePoint. Add it to the bot, then sign in with your SharePoint account. It takes about a minute.
Whose SharePoint account does a bot use?
The account of whoever is talking to it. Each teammate signs in with their own, and a bot never uses one person’s sign-in for someone else.
Can I limit what a bot does in SharePoint?
Yes. Any SharePoint action can be switched off for your own sign-in, and SharePoint can be removed from a bot at any time.
Is there anything to install?
No. Your bots reach SharePoint from Emra’s cloud, so you only sign in.
Does my IT admin need to approve Emra?
In many work and school organizations, yes, once. If Microsoft asks for admin approval when you sign in, Emra gives you a link to send them, and one approval covers Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
